How do you feel about the super thin phone era we're about to enter?
On the eve of the launch of Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge and likely Apple's iPhone 17 Pro this coming fall, I find myself wondering if this is something people even want? Phones are already pretty thin at this point. Seriously, take a look at the iPhone 16 Pro or Pixel 9 Pro. Both devices are already pretty thin, so is shaving a few millimeters of the thickness worthwhile? Personally, as much as I appreciate flashy tech designs -- especially when it comes to smartphones -- I'd take better battery life and improved durability over a thinner phone, but that doesn't seem to be coming. With this in mind, where do you stand? Are you into the skinny phone future, or would you prefer smartphone giants like Apple and Samsung concentrate on more traditional upgrades like improved cameras, better build quality, and longer-lasting battery life. We'll have more on the Galaxy S25 Edge in the coming days following the blade-like smartphone's official reveal on May 12, at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT.
Do you want streaming services to replace your TikTok feed?
Recently, as part of its overarching UI redesign, Netflix announced a new, scrollable TikTok-style feed that will serve up algorithm-driven snippets of hit Netflix shows for users to watch endlessly via their mobile app. And they're hardly the first streamer to have this idea, as just a few weeks ago, Peacock introduced almost the exact same feature to their mobile app. Though I can kind of understand the idea behind creating a scrollable feed of content since platforms like not only TikTok, but also Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts are so popular. However, I'd argue that a lot of the secret sauce that makes these platforms what they are comes from user-generated content, which is not what Netflix or Peacock are putting in these feeds. What do you think? Is this a feature you can see yourself using?
How mad are you about GTA VI?
We got another full year of "we got ____ before GTA 6" content before we got GTA 6. Personally, I don't play. I've never played. But if there is ever an opportunity to pull that card out of my sleeve, you best bet I'm going to take it and not just run, but sprint with it. It's a joke 12 years running, and I personally don't think it ever gets old. We got dire wolves before GTA 6. We got aliens before GTA 6. We got a delay before GTA 6. But real talk, how mad are you that it's going to be another full year for the sake of 'polish?'
